new WORK

Edita in Balmain S/S 09
Pencil, Black Marker & Glitter

Another newbie for the show.
I've decided not to have a real 'theme' but rather
just focus on what i've been working on for the
last few months with my personal work.

So it's all fashion, beauty based stuff
(with the occasional birdy or blossom thrown in).

BUT I am still playing with different materials.
It's challenging to have to rely on tactile objects to
represent the clothing properly, i'm so used to the
perfection of digital colouring over my pencil work.
I feel like i'm in primary school again,
using all of these permanent markers, silver and gold pens,
and of course glue and glitter!

But it's actually pretty fun to 'colour in' again!

More to come soon.
Xx

P.S I accidently shoplifted today!!!
I honestly didn't mean to. I feel so guilty! :(
I think I just went a bit vague and thought my purse
was one of my enviro bags or something. Not sure.
But I was holding onto everything else so just forgot
about it when I got to the counter.
But it was only a lollie for $1 so i'm going
to go back tomorrow and give it to them!
How embarrassing. Haha.
Has anyone else ever done that?

I love the shading on your new piece, your super talented. And yeah that happened to me with a pack of gum. I think it's a subconscious thing...

I am speachless!
This is so beautiful!
She is so stunning and the dress is perfection!
And I know how you feel about the experimenting with different colouring techniques.
It is really quite scary!
I recently attempted to use water colours in my latest drawings... that didn't go too well... Ended up ruining most of them!
But from what I've seen my dear, you truly know how to handle these, so I'm sure the rest will look as amazing!

And as for the accidental shoplifting, it honestly could happen to anyone!
Especially with something as small as a lollipop!
Oh dear Kelly, you are so sweet!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend lovely lady!
And did you manage to find any of the films?
We watched le sauvage and Pierrot Le Fou this weekend, I definitely do not regret recommending them!
xx.

Aw thanks guys! Glad i'm not the only one!
I almost didn't want to eat it because I hadn't paid for it. But I did anyway! Haha.

Maie - I was surprised because it actually looked more like tulle than it would have if I coloured it digitally anyway, so that was good!

So simple, so obvious, yet so unable to think of something as easy as that!
Of course I should scan and test on prints!
Kelly you are my hero!
You have just savec me from ruining whats left of my drawings!
And how are your collages coming along?
I can't wait to see those too!
Actually, I wish I could just fly to Melbourn on the 27th and like that I'll be sure not to miss out on any of your amazing works!
xx.

Oh and ps: Julien loves the drawing! He says it's even better than the photo! Thank you again lovely Kelly!

Haha!
Yay for crazy lady love!

I haven't posted any of my drawings for quite some time now.
Only put one on the other blog I think, use to post some from time to time on Life in Lomo:

http://lifeinlomo.blogspot.com/search/label/my%20work

But since I've been messing everything up lately, there's not much to post!
So thanks to you dear Kelly, I might actually manage to not throw something away!

How I would love to come to Australia!
Haven't been there since I was a kid.
My uncle used to have a house in Melbourn, am so sad he hasn't got it anymore or I would have definitely been there for your show!
But yes a group show you be an amazing excuse to come over!
Or maybe we could do it in Paris and that would give you and excuse to come over here!
Or we could do both!
(Haha, I'm having a crazy lady moment here...!)
xx.

Maybe it was on Annabel's blog, she did a post on my drawing not too long ago.

But yes, maybe we could try and organise something for when you're here next year.
Will have a word with my agent about it.
(he'll probably tell me to set a date for my own show before planning one with another artist... but you never know, he's pretty cool so I'm sure he'll be up for it!)
It would be so wonderful!
Will definitely start looking into the possibility!

I'll try and post some but I don't think I'll have the time to scan them and try to fix them up...
I'm off to Cannes on Wednesday and have a million things to do!
In fact, I need to get off this computer immediately and go to my dress fittings!
(am so happy, I going to be wearing some Viktor&Rolf, Stella McCartney, Marni and Givenchy!!! I think this is one of the happiest days of my life!)

Love sweet Kelly!
xx.

Lovely work.

I accidently shoplifted a magazine once. I picked up the magazine and put it under my arm while I was looking for a course guide for uni's which had just come out, and I even asked the shop assistant if it was in, and when I heard it wasn't in yet I walked out with the magazine under my arm. Got halfway home before I realised and had to turn around..
