A little while ago I was asked by ELLE Girl Japan to do

a few illustrations for their article on celebrity fragrances muses,

each girl being the epitome of what that fragrance represents.

Blake Lively is "it-girl" Chanel, Alexa Chung's sophisticated vintage chic

echoes Bulgari, Nicole Richie's breezy LA style encapsulating Escada,

and Sting's über cool offspring Coco Sumner

representing the ultimate hip chick for CK One.

This was SUCH a fun job, not only because I was drawing

gorgeous girls wrapped around perfume bottles

(what illustrator WOULDN'T love that one!?)

but because it's my first foray into Japanese magazines,

something that i'm so excited about as I happen to think

the Japanese are pretty much the bees knees when it comes

to beautiful, cute and colourful design!

I came back from my last trip to Tokyo so unbelievably excited

and am happy to report that i'm heading back over the Easter break.

So, thank you ELLE Girl for the amazing opportunity to contribute

something to the crazy beautiful, colourful world of Japanese print!

I MAY have also recently worked on something a little bit spesh

that fits into this category but more on that later.... ;)
