I have illustrated a book!
British publishers Laurence King approached me to work with them on an illustrated
sticker book, much like the paper doll books that i'm sure most of us loved as kids!
For the little ladies in your lives, and the young at heart, Sticker Fashionista
is a series of scenes depicting stylish girlies all over the globe, accompanied
by endless sheets of stickers with which to create your own outfits.
Think sleek Manhattanites, 'it girl' Londoners, Parisian models, festival free-spirits, and more...
You become your very own sticker stylist!
I spent a 'sticky' afternoon with my niece last week and it was so amazing to see her
having so much fun with the book, how she put together her outfits, and the stories
she created about each girl.
For eg the Japan scene turned into one girl being the "really pretty, really cool rock star"
and the other "her assistant." Stickers that were meant for one girl, ended up on another
because she felt like they suited her more!
Kids have so much imagination, it's refreshing to hear a totally different spin
on the stories we (as adults) had come up with for our ladies.

@Your Beauty Industry - My niece is 5 and it was probably borderline for her. She absolutely loved it, but she had a bit of trouble lining the stickers up properly and recognising what pieces were what. But still, as I say, she loved it and a large part of the fun was making up stories for everyone, so I don't think it mattered to her at all! :)
